Fence Calculation Method

Fence estimating calculates posts and sections needed:

  1. Divide total length by post spacing to get number of sections
  2. Add 1 post (you need n+1 posts for n sections)
  3. Account for gates (require 2 posts each)
  4. Calculate concrete: 1-2 bags of 50 lb mix per post
  5. Add 10% waste for cuts and damaged materials

Important: Always call 811 before digging to locate underground utilities.
