How This Calculator Works

This paint calculator uses industry-standard formulas trusted by professional painters:

  1. We calculate the total wall area by multiplying the perimeter by the height
  2. We subtract the area of doors (~2 m² each) and windows (~1.4 m² each)
  3. We add the ceiling area (length Ă— width) if you're painting the ceiling
  4. We divide by 10 square meters per liter (standard coverage for quality paint)
  5. We multiply by the number of coats you plan to apply

Remember: Always purchase 10-15% more than calculated for touch-ups, uneven absorption, and future repairs.
