Gravel Calculation

Gravel is sold by weight (tons) or volume (cubic yards/meters):

  1. Calculate volume: area Ă— depth
  2. Convert to cubic yards (Ă·27) or keep as cubic meters
  3. Multiply by density (~1.5 tonnes per cubic meter)
  4. Always order 10% extra to account for settling
